Privacy policy

Short version: we don’t collect your personal information.

Who we are

Vegan Athlete (vgnathlete.com) is a directory of vegan sports gear, run from Cornwall, UK. If you have any questions about this policy, email hello@vgnathlete.com.

What we collect

Nothing that identifies you. There are no accounts, sign-ups, forms or payments on this site, and we don’t run analytics or advertising trackers.

The only thing the site saves is your “Shopping from” choice (UK or US) on sport pages. It’s stored in your own browser, is never sent to us, and you can clear it at any time by clearing your browser data.

Affiliate links and cookies

Product links on this site are affiliate links. When you click one and visit a retailer, that retailer or its affiliate network may set cookies on their website to record that you came from Vegan Athlete, so we can earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Those cookies are set by them, not us, and are covered by their own privacy policies:

• Amazon UK and Amazon US (Amazon Associates programme)
• Awin, the network we use for Salomon and Sport and Leisure UK

Hosting and fonts

The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which may keep basic technical logs (such as IP addresses) to keep the site secure and running. The site’s fonts load from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the fonts load.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask what personal data we hold about you, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted. As we don’t collect personal data, there is normally nothing to share, but you’re welcome to ask. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

Children

This site isn’t aimed at children under 13.

Changes

If anything changes, for example if we add analytics, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
